Breed: Belgian Malinois (Or if I have to choose one that you listed, German Shepherd).
Age: 3 years
Coat type, coat color(s), markings, etc: mostly black, bits of brown mixed in on the coat, but overall black
How your character ended up on the island of Parenia: Ivy was a guard dog/pet for a family of four. They were on vacation, driving a boat to a different island, but got off course in a bad storm and wrecked. Ivy managed to save one of the children from the wreckage, but the girl was injured and did not make it through the next day.
Any other important history on your character: As a puppy Ivy was rescued by the police from dog fighters. They considered training her for a police dog, but by then she was above the usual age, so she was trained as a guard dog instead and sold to a family that chose her because she was gentle with their kids.
Pack dog or loner: Not decided. She's used to both. Her family was her pack, but because of her puppyhood with people who turned dogs mean, she has a hard time trusting people or dogs she doesn't know. Wanting to try pack.
Your Pack of choice: The Pack of the Rocky Crags
Your Pack role of choice: Subordinate dog. Ivy currently has no interest in leadership, but she won't take orders from just anyone.
Paragraph about your character's personality: To strangers, Ivy is an aloof, quiet, semi threatening dog, but once you get to know her and build her trust, she is incredibly loyal and will do anything to protect her pack. Her number one character trait is loyalty, which makes her very close and loveable to those who know her, but very dangerous to anyone who threatens her pack.
Strengths: Very strong, healthy, and fit. Ivy has had excellent exercise most of her life. She is also very aware of her surroundings and has a strong survival instinct.
Weaknesses: Extremely distrustful. Because of this she sometimes accidentally makes enemies where she might have had allies, and sometimes gets into fights that could have been avoided.
